This generation has a voice and a place at the planning tables of our
communities – even our country. You, as a young person, can dream a
vision of Canada where we walk together and work together. No matter
where we come from.
You are emerging leaders. There is hope! You can discover the best of
what our communities and cultures offer, and you can design and deliver
your vision of the future. But first you have to awaken the dream
inside of you!
Come and join us in Ottawa, February 23-26, 2012 for the ROQ Symposium.
The Symposium will include inspiring workshops, special speakers and a
concert with Fresh I.E. – a Canadian rapper and two-time Grammy Award
nominee! All the action will happen in the heart of downtown Ottawa at
the National Arts Centre and the Lord Elgin Hotel.
Over the three days, we will talk about the issues our generation is
facing and where we can go from here, focusing on the best of what has
been, creating the best of what will be. This is not your usual
sit-in-your-seat-and-listen kind of conference. Be prepared to
participate in small groups and creative activities. It’s going to be
fun!
First Nations, Inuit, Métis, and non-Aboriginal young people are all
welcome. Bring your friends, and get ready to make new ones!
